Mindful Moments Counseling
Ashlee Guckel, M.S., LMHC
Growth
We grow through hard times. Growth is change. And when everything is easy, we have no reason to change. The most painful moments in life expand us. And when the pain leaves, space remains. Space we can fill with life itself.
- Matt Haig, The Comfort Book

Welcome! If you are struggling and reaching out for help, you have found the right place.
I am a licensed mental health counselor in Washington state. I completed both my undergraduate and graduate work at Central Washington University. In 2007, I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and in 2010 I earned my Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. I’ve spent the last decade providing social and health services, primarily in community mental health, to individuals in need. I have extensive experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and am an approved clinical supervisor.
I work alongside adults to address a variety of concerns including but not limited to stress, anxiety, mood, life transitions, grief and loss, relational conflict, and trauma. Currently, I am providing Telehealth sessions, which many individuals find convenient.
I tend to take a holistic and client-centered approach to counseling. Mental health is not a singular entity; it touches every area of our lives. Everyone is a unique individual and has a distinct story. What works for one person may not work for another and I’m here to help you realize what will work for you. I utilize a variety of techniques, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychoeducation.
I believe therapy is about growth: growth for our physical, emotional, social, occupational and cognitive health. Often, individuals seek out therapy during times of struggle. As a therapist, my role is to provide support as you navigate through those struggles on your journey to the growth you desire.
I am a native Pacific Northwesterner through and through. I spend as much time as possible in the outdoors in the sunshine (whenever it’s around) and traveling with my husband and rescue dog. I’m an avid reader and have made continued improvement and growth a priority in my life.
